Job summary

Crossroads Trading Co. is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support treasury, daily banking cash management and accounting operations from our Berkeley, California offices.

The role requires accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to reconcile bank accounts, manage liquidity across stores nationwide, and assist with month-end closings. Initial in-office arrangement for six months with an option to transition to hybrid work thereafter; a team-focused environment is valued.

Qualifications

• Over 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Understanding of accounting principles and bank reconciliation processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through on resolution.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience working with multiple bank accounts or entities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank account reconciliations for a multitude of accounts on a regular basis and research and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage and process cash transfers between bank accounts and accounting records.
• Manage and process chargebacks.
• Maintain authorized signatory lists for bank accounts, including adding, removing, or updating authorized signers as needed.
• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting and banking documentation.
• Support the accounting team with other accounting and administrative tasks including month-end and year-end closing activities.

Job description

Crossroads Trading, one of the leading buy sell trade fashion retailers in the nation, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to support treasury, daily banking cash management and accounting operations. Candidate must have a background in accounting or finance, month end processes, data analysis, and financial reporting. We are looking for a team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize and correct errors and discrepancies. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate bank records, manage liquidity among multiple accounts for stores nationwide, maintain authorized account users, as well support other accounting responsibilities and functions.

This position is in office for the first 6 months with an option to transition to hybrid work after that time.
