Basis in NYC is seeking a finance expert to lead value-based demos showing how AI agents transform the month-end close, reconciliations, audit and tax workflows. You will field questions on technical accounting, compliance, and integrations while guiding prospects through technical due diligence and security questionnaires.

In this in-person role, you will collaborate with Account Executives on enterprise-deal strategy, ensure smooth handoffs to post-sales, and stay sharp on accounting practices

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounting, corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or Private Equity.
• Process-oriented: break down complex problems into clear, repeatable steps.
• Strong communicator: explain technical concepts to executives and accounting teams.
• First principles thinking: question assumptions and apply lessons to new solutions.
• Company-builder: excited to build foundations as we rapidly scale.
• All-in: ready for high velocity, high responsibility environment.
• In-person collaboration preferred in NYC office.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will lead value-based demos that show prospects how AI agents transform the month-end close, reconciliations, audit and tax workflows, and more.

You’ll serve as the finance expert—ready to field questions on technical accounting, compliance, and integrations—while owning security and IT questionnaires and guiding prospects through technical due diligence. You will drive technical qualification by identifying the best opportunities and running structured evaluations, partner with Account Executives on strategy for complex cycles and enterprise deals, and ensure smooth handoffs to post-sales teams through clear knowledge transfer. You’ll also stay sharp on accounting practices, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.

Location: NYC, Flatiron office. In-person team.
