Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) group in the Technology Industry, based in Tampa, FL. The role supports client accounting operations, driven by collaboration with clients and CLA professionals.

The position emphasizes leadership of day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close, and process improvements, with Supervisory responsibilities over Associates and Analysts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting/financial experience required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops an understanding of each client’s operations and manages multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts.
• Leads day-to-day transactions including accounts payable, cash disbursements, AR, cash receipts, and payroll postings.
• Coordinates month-end close and reviews reconciliations, prepares basic to complex financial statements.
• Performs other quarterly/annual processing, such as tax forms and audit workpapers.
• Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts.
• Assist with special projects like internal audit and system selection.

CLA is currently seeking a Senior to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) group supporting our Technology Industry based out of our Minneapolis MN, Madison WI, Dallas TX, Baltimore MD, Las Vegas NV, Tampa FL or Charlotte NC office.

Job Responsibilities

• Client Service: Develops an understanding of each client’s business/organization operations. Competent in management of multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Day to Day Transactions: Leads coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and posting/recording of payroll transactions.
• Month End Processing: Coordinates and reviews account reconciliations (i.e. prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.) Completes complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.) Prepares, understands, and reviews financial statements (basic to complex.) Reviews general ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc. Proactively creates process and procedure documentation and builds their own backup.
• Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes sales tax returns and Form 1099s and preparing audit workpapers, tax return workpapers, and other forms or items as requested by clients.
• Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts. Supervise and ensure the efficiency and quality of work produced by Associates and Analysts.
• Special Projects: Assists with projects for internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
  

Job Requirements

The wage range for this position in Minnesota is: $67,000.00 - $115,000.00

The wage range for this position in Maryland is: $73,800.00 - 126,000.00
