Job summary

Metro Electric Supply is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead a team responsible for transaction review, billing, pricing accuracy, rebates, ERP item maintenance, and month-end reporting in the St. Louis area.

You will partner with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance to maintain reliable data, support timely invoicing, and strengthen controls. The role demands strong leadership and data quality focus.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting operations.
• Experience in billing, pricing, sales or purchasing support, or related function.
• Experience leading employees and coordinating team workflow.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and prioritize daily work of department employees.
• Oversee review of sales tickets, orders, and transactions for pricing, cost accuracy before billing.
• Ensure customer invoices and statements are issued accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain item, pricing, cost, customer/vendor data in ERP system with Purchasing/Sales/Operations.
• Support month-end close and prepare reports for Finance leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, data quality, and cross-functional communication.
