Job summary

Old National Bank is seeking a seasoned Controller of Accounting Operations to lead the corporate accounting function, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls. You will partner with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights and drive process improvements across the organization.

The role requires 15+ years of accounting experience, CPA certification, and deep knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting, with demonstrated leadership and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership and change management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight across Controllership, External Reporting, Finance and business units.
• Direct accounting operations and policy for business units and corporate accounting.
• Maintain an appropriate control structure supporting SOX and regulatory needs.
• Research accounting guidance for new and existing transactions and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors and regulators.
• Drive ERP implementation and process transformation for scalability and efficiency.
• Recommend process improvements and assist with remediation plans.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects and lead a high-performing team.
