Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager for Lending Products to own the end-to-end accounting for our prime financing and brokerage business.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, Prime Brokerage and Digital Assets, you will build processes, lead monthly close, and scale reporting. A CPA with 9+ years' fintech accounting experience is required, including financing or prime brokerage work and SEC reporting.

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 and fintech/financial services.
• Direct experience with financing, lending, or prime brokerage accounting at a publicly traded company with SEC reporting knowledge.
• Proven ability to build accounting processes and internal controls from the ground up, including SOPs and automation.
• Experience leading a team through monthly close cycles and quarterly/annual reporting to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite; ability to leverage these tools to streamline close.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the review and approval of monthly financing accounting entries, reconciliations, and documentation for close cycles.
• Build scalable, automated financial processes and controls for prime financing, drafting SOPs for SOX compliance.
• Lead the team through monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audits, ensuring audit readiness.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate regulatory developments into actionable accounting guidance.
• Drive design and implementation of new controls for platform and brokerage accounting as the business grows.
