Job summary

Hyundai Transys Georgia Seating System in West Point, GA seeks an Accounting Team Manager to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, ensuring accurate financial reporting under US GAAP. You will oversee GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, inventory accounting, tax compliance, internal controls, and audits, while driving process improvements.

You will manage SAP FI processes, provide strategic analyses to management, and guide a high-performing accounting team in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience with month, year-end closing, financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls and audits.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and fixed asset accounting preferred.
  • Experience with general ledger, account reconciliation, AP/AR oversight preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Asset Accounting.
  • Manage inventory accounting and related reconciliations.
  • Review intercompany transactions and account balances.
  • Coordinate federal, state, and local tax compliance activities.
  • Support transfer pricing and tax reporting requirements.
  • Serve as primary contact for internal and external audits.
  • Drive SAP FI accounting processes and process improvements.

Summary of Position

The Accounting Team Manager is responsible for leading all accounting operations of the company, including financial closing, financial reporting, tax compliance, fixed asset management, internal controls, and audit coordination. This position ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies while supporting management through accurate financial information and continuous process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
  • Tax & Compliance
  • Coordinate federal, state, and local tax compliance activities.
  • Support transfer pricing and tax reporting requirements.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Audit & Risk Management
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • SAP & Process Improvement
  • Support and oversee SAP FI accounting processes.
  • Drive accounting process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization across accounting functions.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports.
  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives.

Technical/ Computer Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • SAP FI experience is strongly preferred.
  • SAP CO knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong business writing and presentation skills.
