Job summary

Lanteris Space LLC, a subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, invites applications for an Accounting Manager to support financial reporting and SOX compliance in a fast-paced environment. The role can be based in Palo Alto, CA or performed remotely, with preference for CST zone candidates.

You will lead monthly close, manage journal entries and reconciliations, and collaborate with external auditors while leveraging SAP, FloQast, and LeaseQuery to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with public accounting and/or public company environment (Big 4 preferred).
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and SOX experience.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• Lead month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain SOX compliance and internal control documentation and testing.
• Collaborate with external auditors on accounting positions and deliverables.
• Drive process improvements and system optimization (SAP, FloQast, LeaseQuery).

Lanteris Space LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, is hiring a highly skilled Accounting Manager to support financial reporting and SOX compliance in a fast-paced environment. This role is based either in Palo Alto, CA or can also be performed remotely. Preference will be given to remote candidates in the CST zone.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional with strong U.S. GAAP expertise, public company experience, and advanced SAP knowledge, who thrives in complex, high-accountability environments.

Intuitive Machines is a leading space infrastructure company that builds spacecraft, connects networks, and operates infrastructure‑as‑a‑service for commercial, civil, and national security customers. With a proven track record across the space domain, the Company, through organic growth and portfolio expansion, has built over 300 spacecraft, delivered over 260 kilograms of payload to the lunar surface, and provided precision navigation expertise that has guided spacecraft across our solar system.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Lead and support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Support and maintain SOX compliance and internal control framework, including documentation and testing
• Partner with external auditors on accounting positions and audit deliverables
• Perform variance analysis and provide clear financial insights
• Drive process improvements and close efficiency initiatives
• Support and optimize systems, including SAP, FloQast, and LeaseQuery

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in public accounting and/or publicly traded company environment, Big 4 strongly preferred
• Experience with U.S. GAAP
• Experience with SOX implementation, control design and testing
• Experience with financial reporting and month-end close

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FloQast and/or LeaseQuery
• CPA
• Advanced SAP experience
• Strong technical accounting and documentation skills
• High attention to detail and ownership mindset
• Ability to work independently

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $94,000.00 - $156,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $94,000.00 - $156,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $94,000.00 - $156,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $104,000.00 - $173,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $108,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually.
