Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead US operations close and GAAP reporting for a multi‑entity North America finance function. The role partners with FP&A, AR, Payroll, HR, and Engineering to drive controls, process standardization, and intercompany accounting across Canada, Mexico, Europe, and beyond.

You will oversee AP, expenses, vendor payments, banking, reconciliations, and assist with audits and M&A due diligence while developing and coaching the US accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• ERP experience with NetSuite preferred.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and tax familiarity.
• Experience leading multi-entity financial close and intercompany processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for US entities (US GAAP + Group reporting).
• Oversee AP, employee expenses, and vendor payments.
• Manage banking activities, cash transactions, and reconciliations.
• Own intercompany accounting across Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and North Africa; drive intercompany controls.
• Support internal/external audits and strengthen internal controls.
• Lead accounting transformation: COA harmonization, standardization, automation, and NetSuite optimization.
• Support potential M&A due diligence and post‑acquisition integration.
• Collaborate with FP&A, AR, Payroll, HR, Sales, and Engineering; develop US accounting team.

Accounting Manager – North America Finance

We're looking for a hands‑on Accounting Manager to lead accounting and financial close for our US operations, within a fast‑paced, multi‑entity, international environment tied to a European publicly listed group.

What You'll Do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for US entities (US GAAP + Group reporting)
• Oversee Accounts Payable, employee expenses, and vendor payment processes
• Manage banking activities, cash transactions, and bank reconciliations
• Own intercompany accounting across Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and North Africa
• Strengthen internal controls and support internal/external audits
• Drive accounting transformation: chart of accounts harmonization, process standardization, automation, and NetSuite optimization
• Support M&A due diligence and post‑acquisition accounting integration
• Partner cross‑functionally with FP&A, AR, Payroll, HR, Sales, and Engineering
• Lead, coach, and develop the US accounting team

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in an accounting leadership role (Accounting Manager, Senior Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar)
• Must have ERP experience/knowledge – NetSuite is preferred
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and familiarity with federal/state/local tax requirements
• Experience managing financial close in a multinational, multi‑entity organization with tight public‑company reporting deadlines
• Track record managing high‑volume intercompany transactions across countries
• Advanced Excel skills

Nice to Have

• Background in engineering services, technology consulting, professional services, or project‑based businesses
• M&A/integration experience
• Exposure to finance transformation, systems implementation, or shared‑services/matrix environments
