This leader ensures our financial practices reflect the highest standards of GAAP, while fostering a collaborative, service-minded environment for the accounting team. With stewardship over internal controls and financial integrity, the Accounting Manager helps safeguard the accuracy and reliability of all financial information.

What you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures, while recommending enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Partners with the Director of Finance to deliver timely, accurate financial statements and special reporting as needed.
  • Supervise cash management activities, including preparation of deposits, maintenance of checkbooks, and monitoring cash balances to support smooth daily operations.
  • Provides leadership and support to accounting staff, assigning and reviewing work, offering guidance, and stepping in as a backup when needed.
  • Ensures general ledger accounts remain accurate throughout the year; prepares adjusting entries and assists with audit work papers to support year-end balances.
  • Collaborates with leadership and external partners to coordinate the annual audit process.
  • Monitors compliance with tribal, federal, and state requirements, advising management on appropriate actions and updates.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements that enhance efficiency and service to internal stakeholders.
  • Builds positive working relationships with internal departments, vendors, banks, and tribal and governmental partners.
  • Protects the confidentiality of all financial records and sensitive information.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent amount of education and work history.
  • Minimum five years of accounting experience required with demonstrated growth in levels of responsibility. Casino accounting preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a supervisory capacity with a proven record of operating with high ethical standards.
  • Advanced computer experience to include accounting and gaming systems, spreadsheet preparation, and word processing.

Physical stuff to know

We've included the typical physical parts of the job here. If you need an accommodation to do the work, just let us know-we're here to support you. You'll need to be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings when we are busy. During your shift, you'll stand and frequently walk, and use your hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Frequently sit. It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people. Just a heads-up-the casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke. This is a quick summary of the main duties and requirements-it might not cover everything you could be asked to do.
