Job description

Accounting Manager – Frida

Join our growing finance team as Accounting Manager. This role will lead financial accounting and reporting for multiple entities including a foreign subsidiary, and drive improvements in inventory and cost accounting.

Responsibilities
  • Support the accounting team to generate GAAP-compliant financial statements.
  • Assist with financial statement consolidation.
  • Conduct detailed review of month-end reconciliations and transactions.
  • Track all accruals and reversals.
  • Provide technical accounting analysis and memos as needed.
  • Complete robust standard cost and purchase price variance analysis.
  • Maintain auditable documentation of inventory accounting processes.
  • Review and analyze inventory movement and valuation.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including account reconciliations.
  • Support Cost of Goods Sold budgeting process with FPA.
  • Develop standard costs for materials and labor in collaboration with Sourcing and Operations.
  • Maintain general ledger and month-end close for the international operating company.
  • Serve as dedicated financial accounting implementation resource for systems upgrades.
  • Document and improve internal processes and controls.
  • Assist with projects and administrative aspects of the business.
  • Maintain knowledge of US GAAP compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive business outcomes.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Approve accounts payable related to inventory and other general items weekly.
  • Analyze COGS variances.
  • Assist with year-end audit, filing of tax returns, and other required filings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • 4–6 years of public accounting and/or relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience in consumer products.
  • Experience managing accounting for multiple entities, including at least one non-U.S. subsidiary.
  • Experience with standard costing, purchase price variance accounting, and reporting.
  • NetSuite experience required.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Financial reporting and accounting experience.
  • Analysis of financial statements.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange rates.
  • Intermediate to strong Microsoft product skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (pivots, charts, formulas).
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under time pressure.
  • Motivated, organized, and innovative with initiative.
Team & Culture

You will work closely with Brand Management, Operations, Marketing, and RD&E teams. Frida values collaboration and community.

Work Location

Frida HQ is located in Miami, Florida. Approved roles have the flexible option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, with in-person meetings Tuesday to Thursday.
