Job description

SentiLink provides innovative identity and risk solutions, empowering institutions and individuals to transact with confidence. We’re building the future of identity verification in the United States and replace a clunky, ineffective, and expensive status quo with solutions that are 10x faster, smarter, and more accurate.

We’ve seen tremendous traction and are growing extremely quickly. Our real-time APIs have helped verify hundreds of millions of identities, starting with financial services and rapidly expanding into new markets. SentiLink is backed by world-class investors including Craft Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, NYCA, and Max Levchin.

We’ve earned recognition from TechCrunch, CNBC, Bloomberg, Forbes, Business Insider, PYMNTS, American Banker, LendIt, and have been named to the Forbes Fintech 50 list every year since 2023. Last but not least, we’ve even made history – we were the first company to go live with the eCBSV and testified before the United States House of Representatives on the future of identity.

SentiLink supports a variety of ways to work, ranging from fully remote to in-office. We operate as a digital-first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India. We maintain physical offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., and in Gurugram (Delhi) and Bengaluru in India. If you’re located near one of these offices, we would love for you to spend time in the office regularly. Some roles are hybrid or in-office by design. For example, our engineering team in India works primarily from our Gurugram office.

Role

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to own operating expenses and general accounting end-to-end. This role is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of our financials across all non-revenue areas.

This is a hands‑on role with meaningful ownership. You will lead the monthly close, manage a team, and build systems and processes that scale with the business. You’ll operate with high ownership and strong judgment, partnering closely across Finance and the business to ensure financials are accurate, well‑understood, and reliable.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being close to the details while building processes that scale.

Responsibilities
  • Own monthly close, monthly consolidation, and financial statement preparation processes across multiple entities, including intercompany and foreign currency activity
  • Manage all non-revenue accounting areas, including operating expenses, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and equity accounting
  • Perform and review detailed flux and variance analysis, identifying and proactively investigating unexpected trends or anomalies in our financials
  • Identify and drive improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls to support scale, reduce risk, and prepare the company for future growth
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 (Senior Accountant and 2 Staff Accountants), continuously improving close speed, reliability, and scalability
  • Lead the end-to‑end audit process for non‑revenue areas
  • Partner with external advisors and internal leadership on technical accounting and corporate tax related matters
What Success Looks Like
  • The close is predictable and efficient, and financials are accurate
  • Operating expenses and cash flows are clearly understood, with visibility into key drivers
  • The audit process is organized and low‑friction
  • Systems and processes are continuously improving and scaling with the business
  • You operate with high ownership and strong alignment, knowing when to move quickly and when to involve stakeholders
Requirements
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, with leveling adjusted based on candidate experience
  • Experience owning monthly close and general accounting processes in a multi‑entity environment
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team is a plus
  • Track record of improving accounting processes, systems, and controls in a growing company
  • Experience with audits and working with external auditors
  • CPA or public accounting background is a plus

  • 401(k) plan with employer match (or equivalent for non US-based roles)
