Job summary

FIS Management Services LLC is looking for an Accounting Manager responsible for overseeing accounting activities related to Capital Markets Lending solutions. You will manage revenue accounting, analyze financial statements, and ensure compliance with internal policies.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a large organization. Strong knowledge of Oracle financial systems and CPA certification is preferred. FIS offers a flexible work environment, professional development, and competitive salary.

  • Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm and in a corporate accounting department.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

About the role

Accounting Manager responsible for accounting activities for FIS’ Capital Markets Lending software and service solutions, an approximate $500M revenue business.

What you will be doing
  • Oversee the monthly revenue accounting close for the Capital Markets Lending Software and Solutions business.
  • Review and analyze the monthly income statement and balance sheet for Lending Software and Solutions business.
  • Ensure complex revenue arrangements are accurately recorded in accordance with guidance from the technical accounting team and underlying transactional activity.
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance with FIS accounting policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on monthly results and assess the impact of accounting for customer transactions on forecasts.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors, as well as the SOX team.
  • Support other activities as needed such as acquisition integration and system implementation and upgrades.
What you will need
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably at a Big 4 affiliated accounting firm or a combination of experience at a Big 4 affiliated accounting firm and in a corporate accounting department of a multi‑national company.
  • Knowledge of Oracle financial systems, Hyperion/Essbase reporting tools and strong Excel skills.
  • CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong organizational, team‑building, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • General business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long‑term vision and executive presence.
  • Ability to utilize judgment in decision‑making process and decisions related to job tasks.
  • Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner, including presentations.
  • Ability to design, document and implement process improvements.
  • Strong system management/control experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application in a large, diverse organization.
  • Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management.
  • Ability to analyze financial results.
