Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Supervisory experience leading and developing accounting staff.
• Ownership of the full month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience managing external audits.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and deliver accurate financial statements on schedule.
• Supervise, train, and develop the accounting team, including review of journal entries and reconciliations.
• Own the general ledger, chart of accounts, and account reconciliation process.
• Prepare and review financial statements with variance analysis and commentary for leadership.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain documented internal controls and accounting policies.
• Lead the annual audit, coordinating requests and serving as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Improve close timelines, reporting quality, and system workflows through process and automation improvements.
• Partner with operations and other departments on accounting questions and business decisions.
