Job description
Overview

Accounting Manager. This position reports to the CFO of the Parent Company. The Accounting Manager manages the overall accounting process and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience with running and overseeing the accounting function of a company and working knowledge of ERP systems and skill in essential software such as Microsoft Excel.

Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day Accounting Operations:
  • Manage two direct reports for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Maintain account analysis for key general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Monthly reconciliation of A/R, A/P and Fixed Assets [Asset Tiger] sub-ledgers to General Ledger balances in the Deacom ERP system.
  • Maintain accuracy of the inventory valuation.
  • Maintaining and reconciliation of multiple bank accounts.
  • Working with HR manager to record weekly payroll journal entries.
  • File/Monitor Sales & Use Tax returns with required states.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial results and clarify causes of variances from Budget/Forecast and prior period results.
  • Ensure to meet all financial deadlines given by the parent company (monthly and quarterly).
  • Reconcile all related party transactions and balances with the sister companies monthly.
  • Other responsibilities:
  • Meet various requests from the external audit firm to ensure the company’s compliance with US GAAP.
  • Assist CFO of Parent Company on year-end audit preparation and workpapers and tax return documents gathering.
  • Prepare annual budgets.
  • Respond to Parent Company requests for information.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in monthly closing per US GAAP (CPA is a big plus)
  • Proficient in ERP system (Experience in Deacom is a plus.)
  • Skilled user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access.
Personal qualities
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to summarize complex situations to facilitate understanding among concerned parties.
