Role Description

The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cleveland, Ohio, responsible for critical financial activitiesincluding accurate and timely posting of bills and transactions to property owner portfolios, account reconciliations, account collections and oversight of utility account management. This role requires a detail-oriented, energetic professional with strong communication and time-management skills who can prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing process including preparing brand reconciliations, credit card account reconciliations and other ad hoc reconciliations
• Manage Accounts Receivable by analyzing aging and performing collection activities
• Perform periodic analytical reviews of financial statements
• Oversee billing to property owners for fees, maintenance and utilities
• Manage 1099 filing process, and other third party agency reporting
• Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance workflow, strengthen internal controls and elevate reporting
• Various other ad hoc reporting and projects that require analytical and critical thinking skills

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and recordkeeping
• Ability to navigate multiple systems accurately and efficiently; knowledge of property management systems (e.g. Propertyware) and Quickbooks is preferred
• High attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to successfully interact with vendors, residents, property owners, and team members
• Computer proficiency: Excel and Google Workspace experience is required
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and perform timely follow-up
• Demonstrate a desire to learn and grow

Education

• Associate or bachelor’s degree is required

Experience

• 3+ years of customer service experience
• 3+ years of experience in audit, accounting or similar role
• Experience with property management preferred
• Accounts Receivable/ Collections experience preferred

Salary Range
