Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Accounting Manager at the First Financial Center in Cincinnati, OH. You will partner with the Director of Finance to lead monthly close, analyze P&L, and drive process improvements in financial controls and reporting.

Responsibilities include supervising Accounts Payable/Receivable, coordinating external audits, maintaining ledgers, and developing standard operating procedures. A BS in Accounting/Finance and 3–5 years supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• B. S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head.
• Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting; excellent math and analytical abilities.
• Experience with accounting software and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Director of Finance to analyze monthly P&L figures and expose performance trends.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities.
• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and personnel.
• Coordinate preparation of external audits and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement facility goals related to financial management, budget, and payroll compliance.
• Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers and verify GL coding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Director of Finance to analyze monthly P&L figures to prepare comments and expose performance trends.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities.
• Provide back-up support to accounting staff to ensure continuity of operations.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
• Assists in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and Legends Global policies and procedures.
• Supervises Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and personnel.
• Reviews bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
• Verifies and checks the accuracy of general ledger coding.
• Prepares and analyzes information for financial statements and reports.
• Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
• Works with auditors in verifying financial information/procedures.
• Established system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Extensive knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
• Knowledge with Sage, D365, ADP and/or Momentus a plus
