Job summary

PFX Group, including Kost USA, is seeking an Accounting Manager for the Cincinnati facility. Lead the accounting team, manage daily operations, and drive process improvements to support a growing business.

Join a leadership role focused on month-end close, cross-functional collaboration with Treasury, Tax, and FP&A, and audit readiness. CPA preferred but not required; extensive MS Office and ERP experience required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (emphasis in accounting).
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing accounting operations and teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using ERP software is required.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, promoting accountability, accuracy, and professional development.
  • Manage daily accounting operations, overseeing AR, AP, general accounting, and cash management.
  • Lead the monthly close process — journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, and FP&A to support intercompany transactions and cash management.
  • Partner with the Controller on monthly reporting, audit preparation, and compliance initiatives.
  • Review and Approve T&E Expenses and Payroll Journal Entries.
  • Assist with external audit and reporting to corporate office.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

The Accounting Manager position is within our KOST USA division and will lead daily accounting activities, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and drive enhancements in controls and procedures that support a growing, dynamic business within our Cincinnati facility.

This is a key leadership role ideal for someone ready to step into management while remaining actively involved in the monthly close and continuous process improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, promoting accountability, accuracy, and professional development.
  • Manage daily accounting operations, overseeing all areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting, bank and cash management.
  • Lead the monthly close process — oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, Tax, and FP&A to support intercompany transactions, cash management, and other financial activities.
  • Partner with the Controller on monthly reporting packages, audit preparation, and compliance initiatives.
  • Review & Approve T&E Expenses as well as Payroll Journal Entries.
  • Assist with external audit and any reporting to the corporate office.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (emphasis in accounting)
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing accounting operations and teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint).
  • Experience using ERP software is required.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
