Job summary

Great West Casualty Company in Nebraska is offering an Accounting Intern position for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. You will gain hands-on experience supporting daily operations and learning how financial functions drive business success.

You will assist with accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and data analysis while developing professional skills and collaborating with a experienced team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Junior or Senior standing preferred.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
