Job summary

Trinity Property Consultants, LLC in Orange County, CA is seeking a motivated accounting intern for a 90-day, 20-hour-per-week internship in our accounting department. Work hands-on with month-end close and property-management accounting under the Controller.

You'll reconcile bank statements, post journal entries, and learn accounting software in a real estate environment, with mentorship from experienced professionals and practical experience in month-end close.

Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Completed coursework in financial accounting (intermediate accounting preferred).
• Basic knowledge of Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week for the full 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, matching bank activity to the general ledger and investigating reconciling items.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and research variances.
• Process and record check deposits.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Review GL activity and prepare reclassification entries for mis-posted transactions.
• Assist with month-end close tasks and other projects as assigned.

About the Role
