Job summary

The Sacramento Kings are seeking an Accounting Intern to support our Finance team in downtown Sacramento. The role involves data entry, payables processing, expense coding, audit prep, and generating financial reports as part of our seasonal accounting operations.

You must be a current college student ( Accounting or related major ), able to commute to the downtown office, and eligible for up to 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current college student pursuing a four-year college program, ideally at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level. A major in Accounting, Sports Management, or a related field is preferable.
• Previous work experience in accounting is a valuable asset.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits, journal entries, and adjusting entries.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial tasks.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:

• Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
• Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
• Able to work up to 25 hours per week

Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
