Job summary

University Of Nebraska - Lincoln seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Accounting & Finance to manage the general ledger, ensure timely financial reporting, and oversee subsidiary accounting. The role leads staff, supports campus business staff, and ensures compliance with GAAP and ERP systems.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 7 years of relevant experience; CPA is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus 7 years of relevant professional accounting experience required.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) essential.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; organizational; and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee subsidiary accounting and lead staff within the department.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and university policies.
