Job summary

The Tepa Companies in Denver, CO is offering a paid Finance & Accounting Intern program for 12 weeks, with an expected 40 hours per week at the Denver, CO office. The role provides exposure to multiple finance and accounting disciplines and future opportunities based on performance.

Interns will support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, Payroll, and Staff Accounting, perform clerical duties, and assist with budgeting and monthly closings while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assists variety of Finance & Accounting departments including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, Payroll, and Staff Accounting with daily functions.
• Conducts general clerical duties as required (typing, filing, meetings, etc.). Prepare memos, forms, and letters as needed.
• Analyzes complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
• Assists with tracking and forecasting project budgets.
• Assists with monthly status reports and monthly closings.
• Assists with filing, maintaining, and distributing accounting documents, records, and reports.
• Maintains employee confidence by keeping all information confidential.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Tepa Companies 2027 Intern Program is a paid opportunity for the duration of 12 weeks. Depending on your workload and school schedule, the work schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week in the Denver, CO office location.

What We're Looking For

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Within 2 years of graduation (rising junior/rising senior).
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Intermediate proficiency in organization and prioritization and ability to multi-task
• Intermediate proficiency in oral and written communication
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Self-motivated individual with strong, organizational, problem solving and analytical abilities
