This is a genuinely differentiated niche role sitting at the intersection of accounting operations and restaurant/hospitality ERP technology — a combination that commands strong market demand but has a shallow talent pool.
Compensation Context: No salary is listed, but a Manager-level role at a Top 20 CPA firm with 5+ years of specialized ERP/restaurant tech experience typically commands $90,000–$130,000 annually in the US market, with incentive comp on top. Aprio's profit-sharing 401k and CPA cash incentives add meaningful total compensation upside.
Skills You'll Build:
- Deep expertise in Restaurant365 (R365) — a rapidly growing platform with limited certified practitioners
- Multi-platform ERP implementation and change management (Sage Intacct, QBO)
- Client advisory and project leadership across multi-entity restaurant/franchise groups
- Automation and technology-enabled accounting delivery — increasingly critical in CAS practices
Green Flags: The role offers genuine ownership over delivery quality and a mandate to build repeatable systems — this is a career-accelerating position for someone who wants to shape a practice, not just execute tasks. Aprio's growth trajectory and Top 20 standing signal institutional stability with startup-like innovation culture.
Watch Out For: The breadth of responsibilities is very wide — implementations, month-end close ownership, training design, and optimization are all listed. Candidates should clarify team support structure and whether this is a team-lead or individual contributor role before accepting. Work-life balance during go-live and close seasons may be demanding.

Aprio is seeking an Accounting and Implementation Manager to lead restaurant, franchise, and hospitality platform implementations, re-implementations, and optimization initiatives that connect accounting, operations, and technology. In this role, you will partner with clients and our accounting team to translate complex accounting and operational needs into practical configurations, integrations, workflows, controls, reporting structures, and training across platforms including Restaurant365 (R365), QuickBooks Online (QBO), Sage Intacct, and other industry-specific tools. You will serve as a trusted technology resource across the practice — driving implementation quality, enabling team capability, and building a repeatable, scalable delivery model. This is a high-impact opportunity for a systems-minded professional who brings both accounting fluency and a practical approach to helping people get the most from their technology.
What You'll Gain / Impact
- Clients will have platform environments that support reliable accounting, disciplined operations, strong controls, and sustainable growth
- Our accounting team will have the tools, training, documentation, and responsive support needed to serve clients efficiently across multiple platforms
- Implementations will move forward with clear ownership, clean master data, disciplined testing, timely decisions, and fewer surprises
- Your improvements will reduce manual work, strengthen operating data, and build a repeatable, high-value delivery capability across the practice
Key Responsibilities
Platform Implementation & Re-Implementation
- Lead implementations and re-implementations across restaurant, franchise, and hospitality platforms — including R365, QBO, Sage Intacct, and other industry-specific tools — from discovery and design through configuration, testing, cutover, and stabilization
- Partner with clients and our accounting team to translate accounting and operational needs into practical plans, system designs, and success criteria
- Configure and validate entities, locations, calendars, chart of accounts, reporting, user roles, approvals, banking, daily sales, AP, payroll, and inventory workflows
- Guide data readiness, testing, decisions, and go-live activities while helping the accounting team resolve issues that affect service delivery, close, and reporting
- Own accounting and financial reporting for assigned clients, including agreed-upon deliverables, deadlines, responsibilities, and scope
- Lead month-end and year-end close, using technology and automation where appropriate to improve consistency, identify exceptions, and accelerate routine work
- Prepare and review complete, accurate, and well-supported workpapers that clearly document account activity, reconciliations, conclusions, and the audit trail supporting financial reporting
- Build and govern inventory items, categories, locations, count practices, costing methods, and location availability
- Review and map vendor items; configure units of measure, pack sizes, conversions, and yields to support accurate purchasing, invoicing, and inventory valuation
- Build recipes, sub-recipes, menu items, and theoretical costs; map POS and PMIX data to recipes and resolve exceptions affecting usage and margin reporting
- Configure labor scheduling, job codes, forecasting inputs, and targets; establish best-practice routines for counts, waste, transfers, receiving, recipe maintenance, and exception review
Platform Optimization & Process Design
- Evaluate platform environments — including R365, QBO, Sage Intacct, and other tools — alongside accounting and operations teams to identify configuration gaps, workarounds, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities
- Simplify and standardize workflows, templates, naming conventions, approvals, dashboards, and recurring processes across entities and locations
- Prioritize improvements based on impact, effort, risk, and readiness, then help teams adopt sustainable platform governance
Integrations, Data & Reporting
- Coordinate POS, banking, invoice capture, payments, payroll, sales, inventory, and other integrations across applicable platforms
- Lead mapping, migration, validation, exception resolution, and testing so the accounting team can rely on complete, accurate data
- Build reporting structures, dashboards, and role-based access that help accounting teams deliver timely, decision-ready information to clients
Training, Adoption & Knowledge Enablement
- Develop and deliver role-based training for our accounting team, client administrators, and accounting, AP, banking, sales, inventory, purchasing, recipe, labor, payroll, and close users across applicable platforms
- Coach users on best practices for counts, item and unit-of-measure governance, recipes, POS/PMIX exceptions, labor scheduling, and data-quality reviews
- Create clear documentation, job aids, workflows, controls, governance standards, and troubleshooting guidance the accounting team can use in daily client service
- Provide post-go-live support, address recurring pain points, and recommend targeted training or system improvements
Candidate Qualifications
Required:
- Experience supporting restaurant, franchise, hospitality, multi-entity, or multi-location businesses
- Background in outsourced accounting, CAS, public accounting, or another multi-client professional-services environment
