Job summary

HHM Talent is assisting an automotive client in Greenville, SC, seeking an Accounting Clerk to support daily dealership accounting operations. You will post vehicle sales, process payoffs and F&I transactions, handle deposits and receivables, and maintain accurate records.

The ideal candidate has prior accounting experience, knowledge of debits and credits, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced team environment within an automotive dealership.

Qualifications

• Previous accounting experience required.
• Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of debits and credits.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems (CDK preferred).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Post new and used vehicle sales and verify the accuracy and completeness of all required paperwork.
• Issue trade payoffs by check or electronic transfer.
• Submit F&I product payables accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process F&I product cancellations.
• Process daily deposits.
• Manage deal receivables, rebates, and vehicle inventory schedules.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to vehicle deals and accounting records.
• Respond to inquiries from sales management and other dealership departments.
• Perform routine accounting tasks, reconciliations, and account maintenance.
• Maintain working knowledge of automotive title processes and documentation requirements.
• Assist with additional administrative and accounting responsibilities as needed.

HHM Talent is assisting an automotive client who is searching for an Accounting Clerk in Greenville, SC.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Accounting Clerk to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a busy automotive dealership. This position is responsible for posting vehicle sales, processing payoffs and F&I transactions, managing deposits and receivables, and maintaining accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate has previous accounting experience, understands basic accounting principles, and can work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities
