Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join the Crop Finance team in Anoka, MN. This office-based role reports to the Anoka office five days a week.

Responsibilities include issuing claim payments, printing checks and statements of loss, handling mailings, logging activities, providing customer service to agents, and performing data entry as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and no prior years of experience in the Billing area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and no prior years of experience in the Billing area.
• For Intermediate Apprenticeship Positions Only: Associate Degree in Accounting or rising Junior with two years of coursework in Accounting and no prior years of experience in the Billing area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mailings in the office (direct and bulk).
• Record and update logs.

Job description

Zurich North America is currently hiring an Accounting Clerk to join their Crop Finance team. This is an office-based role, with the ideal candidate reporting into the Anoka, MN office 5 days per week.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Issuing claim payments to agents/producers
• Responsible for printing out the checks and statement of loss
• Responsible for releasing the payments & statements of loss
• Preparing mailings in the office to include direct and bulk mailings
• Responsible for recording and updating the logs
• Provide customer service to agents/producers
• Data entry duties will be assigned as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and no prior years of experience in the Billing area. OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and no prior years of experience in the Billing area OR
• For Intermediate Apprenticeship Positions Only: Associate Degree in Accounting or rising Junior with two years of coursework in Accounting and no prior years of experience in the Billing area. Contingent on admittance into University of Arizona Global Campus Bachelor of Arts Accounting program AND
• Microsoft Office experience
• Collections experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Clerical experience in an office setting
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Data entry skills
• Must have excellent written and communication skills
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 25 lbs

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Hourly rate for this position is $23.52 - $32.41, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
