Job summary

CLA is seeking an Accounting Associate to join the CAAS Agribusiness, Food and Beverage Industry team based out of Salinas CA, Minneapolis MN, Austin MN, Madison WI, or Rochester MN offices. The role emphasizes client service, day-to-day transactions, month-end processing and quarterly/annual processing, working with multiple clients and complex accounts.

The position requires an accounting background and a bachelor’s degree, with compensation aligned to market in CA and MN; competitive wages

Responsibilities

• Client Service: handle multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts daily, weekly and monthly.
• Day to Day Transactions: coordinates & processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Month End Processing: completes financial statements; coordinates reconciliations including bank & credit card.
• Quarterly/Annual Processing: completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other items.

CLA is currently seeking an Accounting Associate to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) Agribusiness, Food and Beverage Industryteam based out of our Salinas CA, Minneapolis MN, Austin MN, Madison WI, or Rochester MN office.

Job Responsibilities

• Client Service: Gains ability to handle multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts daily, weekly and monthly basis.

• Day to Day Transactions: Coordinates & processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.

• Month End Processing: Completes financial statements. Coordinates and completes account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals.) Completes complex account reconciliations that have been previously set up and supported by Senior Associate, Assistant Controller, Controller or CFO.

• Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other forms or items as requested by clients.

The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $55,000.00 - $95,000.00

The compensation range for this position in California is: $63,200 -$108,000.
