Accounting Associate

Viking Client Services provides payment processing, recovery, claims management, and collection services to clients across the country. We are hiring due to growth!

We are looking for an entry-level Accounting Associate to monitor and analyze Daily ACH/RCC Processing of Accounting Data, Client Statement Administration, Unclaimed Property reporting, General Bookkeeping, and Accounting Maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data for review of daily ACH/RCC processing
  • Daily bank review and remit review
  • Administer client remits and correspondence
  • Unclaimed property reporting to states
  • Backup for daily deposit applications and accounts payable
  • Cross-train and serve as backup for Accounting Manager and Payment Processing
  • Other month-end tasks and accounting duties as assigned

REQUIRED Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience: 1-3 years related experience

Other Skills:

Ability to professionally handle confidential information; customer service focused; effective reporting and time management skills; detail-oriented; deadline-oriented; self-sufficient; proficient with Excel and accounting software; knowledge of accounting principles; excellent written/verbal skills; general math skills. Experience with Sage 100 accounting software is a plus.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Wage: $25-$30 an hour based on experience
