Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll administration, and reporting.

This role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining documentation and preparing schedules for month-end close in a nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and general accounting principles.
• Experience with QuickBooks and proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
