Catalyst Brands is seeking an Inventory Management Analyst in Salt Lake City to own and improve month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls within our Finance Shared Services Organization.

The role partners with IT and cross-functional teams to drive cost savings, reporting, and proactive financial analysis while supporting continuous improvement and team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a closely related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of professional accounting, Accounts Payable, corporate finance, or related operational experience is preferred.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, financial reporting procedures, and account reconciliation processes.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data formatting).

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management accounting processes, including month-end/fiscal close activities, preparing journal entries, and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Execute, monitor, and maintain key financial and accounting controls to ensure compliance with internal corporate policies.
• Research, analyze, and resolve complex financial discrepancies, performing root-cause analysis to implement sustainable process improvements.
• Identify, resolve, and elevate critical accounting issues to management when appropriate.
• Lead or support specific accounting projects, process improvements, and business initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Partner with IT regarding system enhancements, software implementations, and technical issue resolution to ensure seamless policy compliance.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional business partners across Finance, Tax, Audit, FP&A, Merchandise Planning & Allocation, and Supply Chain.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and multiple levels of management, providing clear accounting guidance and support.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reporting, operational metrics, and analysis templates to assist leadership decision-making.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members and assist in onboarding of new associates on core accounting tools and processes.

Overview

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive Inventory Management Analyst to join our Finance Shared Services Organization in Salt Lake City. This role takes ownership of month-end close activities, researching financial discrepancies, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and building strong cross-functional partnerships. This role is ideal for a collaborative analyst looking to combine accounting fundamentals and financial discipline with operational business partnering in a Shared Services environment.

Responsibilities

Operational Accounting Close:

Qualifications

Education:

Experience:

Accounting Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, financial reporting procedures, and account reconciliation processes.

Technical Skills:

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data formatting).

• Experience creating, maintaining, or updating data queries and financial reporting tools.
