Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and cost analysis, to identify key financial drivers and provide actionable insights.
• Manage organizational costs in assigned cost centers through strategic management of contracts, service agreements, and routine expenses.
• Improve accounting and financial operations to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy.
• Prepare and distribute accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts; monitor performance against budget and forecast figures and explain variances.
• Create and maintain financial models to support decision-making, scenario analysis, and long-term planning.
• Project manage finance operation projects to timely and successful conclusion and effectively manage finance programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather feedback, financial data, and provide financial insights.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior management.
• Conduct coaching and training to Finance staff and create/update resources for guidance.
• May conduct other accounting functions (accounts payable, payroll, compliance, bank reconciliations).

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Finance Director or designee, the Accounting Analyst performs at the professional accounting level. The position is responsible for assisting Finance Management, conducting accounting-related analysis, forecasting and reporting, cost controls, and finance operations improvement projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALARY AND BENEFITS: The current salary range is $76,054.81 – $124,917 based on qualifications and experience. SEIU Local 1021 offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package.
