Job description

Built on service. Powered by people.

Impact exists because a small group of industry leaders believed companies in our space were doing it wrong. Many prioritized margins while the people doing the work and the clients relying on it became an afterthought. Impact was built differently: invest in great people, trust them to do great work, and deliver the kind of service clients remember. That approach helped us grow from a small office technology company into a national managed services provider, while remaining privately owned and people-first.

What makes Impact special is that growth has never come at the expense of the values that got us here. We continue to reinvest in our people, our capabilities, and the opportunities ahead so employees can grow alongside the business. We’ve built something special, but we’re far from finished. The people who join Impact now will help define what comes next.

Job Overview

The Accounting Analyst supports the accuracy and integrity of Impact’s financial records through general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting activities. Working closely with the Finance team and partners across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Contracts, this role researches discrepancies, prepares supporting analysis, and helps strengthen accounting processes and controls. This is an opportunity for an accounting professional with a few years of experience to expand their technical knowledge, gain exposure to areas such as revenue recognition and lease accounting, and contribute to a growing organization.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end close

  • Complete bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and recurring internal accounting reports

  • Support revenue recognition and lease accounting activities, including entries and reconciliations related to ASC 606 and ASC 842

  • Analyze general ledger activity and accounting trends to identify errors, risks, and opportunities for process improvement

  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Contracts, and other internal teams to research and resolve accounting issues

  • Maintain accurate account documentation and provide supporting schedules and analysis for quarterly and annual audits

  • Contribute to improvements in close procedures, controls, reporting processes, and documentation

  • Prepare ad hoc accounting reports and analysis as business needs arise

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 2+ years of professional accounting experience, including general ledger accounting and participation in month-end close

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles

  • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables; experience with an ERP or financial accounting system is preferred

  • Exposure to revenue recognition, lease accounting, or ASC 606 and ASC 842 is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, timely work

  • Ability to research discrepancies, organize competing deadlines, and work independently during recurring close cycles

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

  • CPA candidacy or progress toward a CPA is preferred but not required
