• Two years of professional accounting, finance, or related business experience or a recent bachelor’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, or accounts payable preferred.
• Microsoft Excel skills.

• Process customer payments and apply cash to open invoices.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding items.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile bank, balance sheet, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.
• Assist with invoice processing and accounts payable activities as needed.
• Review accounting records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Support month end close activities.
• Assist with reporting, data analysis, and additional accounting projects.

We are currently partnered with a consulting company located in downtown Chicago to hire an Accounting Analyst. This is a contract to hire opportunity for a candidate with at least two years of professional experience or a recent bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
