Job summary

BPM, in the San Francisco Bay Area, seeks a skilled Client Accounting and Advisory Services professional to manage accounting for private and family-owned businesses. You will coordinate month-end closes, A/P, A/R, journal entries, and financial statement prep, while guiding engagement teams.

The role supports ERP implementation needs, emphasizes data accuracy and cross-client collaboration, and offers a path toward CPA certification in a dynamic, inclusive firm.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
• A desire to pursue your CPA.
• Minimum4 years' experience in public accounting and/or industry as part of an accounting function.
• Experience with data conversions, interfaces/integrations, reporting and customization within various ERP systems.
• Experience using QuickBooks, Intacct, NetSuite and/or other accounting platforms.
• Working knowledge of Bill.com, Expensify, and/or Concur is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work with multiple clients and projects concurrently.
• Ability to synthesize all forms of research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables.
• Knowledge of GAAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting services for clients, including month-end close, A/P, A/R, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and working on engagement teams.
• Support managers on small to mid-size private company engagements.
• Collaborate with senior consultants to assess ERP implementation needs and craft innovative solutions.
• Contribute to the team by analyzing information and making actionable recommendations.
• Participate in special client projects for growth and learning.
