Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC in Chicago seeks an Accounting Advisory Staff to support engagements, resolve issues in events, transactions and policies, and apply your coursework to real client situations.

You will assist with project quality control, build strong client relationships, and contribute to a wide range of complex engagements, including M&A, restatements, crypto assets, and SEC reporting.

Qualifications

• Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Pursuing a CPA is preferred.
• Curiosity about business operations and the impact of accounting and information systems on key classes of business transactions.
• Interest in technical accounting or accounting processes, procedures and business intelligence.
• Capable of working in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on details.
• Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments successfully.
• Will ing to pursue relevant professional designations.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting advisory engagements, resolving issues on events, transactions and policies.
• Apply coursework to real client situations in advisory and consulting.
• Assist with project quality control and end-to-end client engagements.
• Maintain strong client focus and build relationships to achieve objectives.
• Provide recommendations on clients' accounting processes.
• Support complex engagements (M&A, restatements, carve-outs, crypto ASU 2023-08, data analytics, SEC reporting, revenue recognition, lease ASC 842, segment reporting).
