Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana invites qualified adjunct instructors to join our on-site teaching pool. Adjuncts will create course syllabi, teach assigned classes, and maintain attendance and grading records in line with college policies.

The posting remains open to build a pool for future needs and may require teaching during daytime or evening hours. Candidates must meet one of five routes, including master’s in accounting or related field with accounting coursework, CPA-based

Qualifications

• A qualified faculty member meets the program standard through one of five routes.
• Routes include: master’s in accounting or related field with sufficient accounting coursework; CPA certification with related credentials; documented teaching excellence or research/publication in the field; additional coursework totaling 18 semester hours or equivalent.
• Alternative pathway: bachelor’s in accounting with two or more qualifying credentials or experience; professional certification and teaching evidence.

Responsibilities

• Teach on-site during the day or in the evening as needed.
• Create syllabus for the course and follow content requirements.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy and Adjunct Handbook.
• Be available outside class time to assist students and address concerns.
