Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Professional qualification or progress toward one is preferred.

• Experience with statutory audits and tax filing is preferred.
• Excel proficiency; ERP/NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities for Asia entities including revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports.
• Support statutory audit processes with accurate documentation for auditors.
• Assist with tax filings across HK, Singapore, and China including GST/VAT and corporate income tax matters.
• Contribute to process improvements within the Asia finance function.
• Perform ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Asia finance team in Hong Kong. This role supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the firm, with a focus on audit support, tax compliance, and financial reporting across the Hong Kong, Singapore, and China entities.

The ideal candidate will be someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly with internal and external stakeholders, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced professional services environment. Experience with VAT/GST filing across Singapore and China jurisdictions will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day accounting activities for the relevant Asia entities, including revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations, and other month-end closing duties to ensure accurate and compliant accounting treatment.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports.

Support the statutory audit process by preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and providing necessary documentation to auditors in a timely manner.

Assist with tax filing obligations across Hong Kong, Singapore, and China, including GST/VAT compliance and corporate income tax matters.

Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency in the Asia finance function.

Perform ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.

Desired Skills & Qualities

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline from a recognised university

A recognised professional accounting qualification, or progress toward one, is preferred.

Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a professional services or multinational environment. Experienced candidates will be considered for Senior Accountant.

Hands-on and able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment

Experience supporting statutory audits and tax filing is preferred; familiarity with Singapore GST and China VAT filing will be highly considered.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.

Treasury experience is a plus but it is NOT a must

Proactive, with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese is preferred; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
