Western Alliance Bank is seeking an Accountant to assist in accounting and financial reporting, collaborating with Financial Reporting Managers and staff to prepare SEC and regulatory schedules. The role includes journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and ad hoc analysis to ensure SOX compliance and proper financial close.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting/finance experience, a Bachelor's in a related field, and strong Excel skills. MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in Accounting, Finance or similar field.
• Introductory knowledge of SEC rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounting and financial reporting for the company.
• Prepare financial statement schedules for month, quarter, and year close.
• Perform journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and transaction analysis.
• Support SOX compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators as needed.
