Job summary

Prime-Line Products is seeking an Accountant to support general accounting and procure-to-pay functions. You will perform balance sheet reconciliations, vendor payment processing in SAP, and manage journal entries as part of month-end close, while collaborating with Purchasing and other business functions to resolve discrepancies.

The role requires 2+ years of accounting experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, and strong Excel and SAP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required or preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred; combination of general accounting and accounts payable considered.
• Proficiency in journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet accounting.
• ERP experience required; SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to research discrepancies and drive resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookups, and large data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (GR/IR, intercompany, prepaid, fixed assets, etc.).
• Research reconciling items, unusual activity, and aged balances; identify root causes and coordinate resolution.
• Prepare journal entries for prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Resolve three-way match exceptions with Purchasing and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and execute vendor payment runs in SAP and review payment proposals and blocks.
• Reconcile Accounts Payable and related subledger to GL, including intercompany AP activity.
• Complete month-end reconciliations and journal entries within close timelines; support quarter/year-end.
• Support sales and use tax filings and related reconciliations.
• Maintain accounting support in line with policies and internal controls.
• Identify recurring exceptions and participate in process improvements and automation.
