Qualifications

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical skills with respect to financial data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budget preparation and tracking.
• Support audit and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
• Record monthly closing journal entries and group financial statements.
• Prepare operational reconciliation statements and cost reports.
• Generate weekly/monthly labor and equipment reports for operations.
• Process fixed asset transactions and depreciation.
• Reconcile asset and liability ledgers.

Job Summary

Primarily responsible for managing the financial accounting function, concerning the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and resultant financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in budget preparation.
• Assists with audit and year end closing.
• Prepares and files sales and use tax returns.
• Prepares and records monthly closing journal entries.
• Prepares monthly group financial statements.
• Prepares operational reconciliation statement.
• Prepares weekly and monthly labor and equipment reports for operations.
• Processes transactions for fixed assets (journal entries and book/tax depreciations).
• Reconciles asset and liability ledger accounts.

Minimum Job Requirements

• 2+yearsconstructionaccounting experience; knowledge of profit recognition for contractors .
• KnowledgeofGenerally AcceptedAccounting Principles .
• Strong analytical skills with respect to financial data .
• Bachelor'sDegreeinAccounting .
• CPA designation, or CPA eligible preferred. CCIFP designation is a plus.
• Proficient useofallMicrosoftOfficeSuite programs .

Physical Requirements

• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
• Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
• Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day
• Will lift, push or pull objects up to 501bs on an occasional basis.
• Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
• Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
