Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the monthly close process. You will record journal entries, analyze financial data, and coordinate with site finance groups to ensure timely, accurate reporting.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, advanced spreadsheet modeling, and strong time management. You will identify process improvements and support special projects across finance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 6 years accounting experience, including 2 years in related training or on-the-job instruction.
• Associate degree in accounting/finance with 4 years accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with 2 years accounting experience.
• Master's degree in accounting/finance may substitute for experience requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process. Apply knowledge of accounting policies and procedures to tasks which include recording journal entries,collaborating with site finance groups and research and analysis among other duties.Analyze financial and operational data and communicate results timely and effectively to management and site finance personnel.Perform analysis and reconciliation through system queries, research, investigation of reconciling items and resolution.Review processes for improvements as changes occur or new requirements are added to the month-end close process. Use knowledge gained in making recommendationsthat are practical and which gain efficiencies.Perform other accounting and special projects assigned.Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or GED and six (6) years professional experience in accounting, including two (2) years in prolong intellectual instruction (certifications, instructed training,on the job training, etc..) in Accounting or Finance
• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or closely related area and four (4) years professional experience in accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related area and two (2) years of accounting experience;
