Job summary

CS Power Systems seeks an experienced accounting leader to oversee AP/AR functions and broader accounting operations in a manufacturing setting. You will guide month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls, partnering with supply chain and operations to maintain data integrity.

Requirements include a college degree in accounting or finance, 6+ years of experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office. CPA track preferred.

• Progress toward CPA or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP and AR teams to ensure timely, accurate processing.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting: Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost and Inventory accounting, Revenue recognition.
• Assist in month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Support year-end audit with external auditors and respond to requests.
• Establish account management procedures in line with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Assist in managing the month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Participate in the year-end financial statement audit through effectively responding to specific requests and inquiries from the external audit team.
• Establish and maintain the company’s account management procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and other departments to ensure financial data integrity.
• Monitor financial integrity and compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.
• Estimate costs of operating plans and then develop budget and forecasts during the annual budget development cycle.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff to build a strong and capable team.
• Participate in other strategic finance, account, and business projects if needed.

Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Progress toward Certified Public Accountant or similar certification preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP as well as risks and controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP system is an asset.
• Be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands-on approach.
