Job summary

Vistra Corporate Services Company in Irving, TX is seeking an Accountant I to support daily accounting operations and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting program.

You will perform essential accounting tasks, gather data for reporting, and collaborate with a team to meet deadlines while adhering to controls and company policies. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 0–3 years of experience are required; familiarity with accounting systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 0–3 years of experience in accounting, finance or related field preferred.
• Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems is desirable.

Job Summary

The Accountant I contributes to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting program by performing essential accounting tasks and supporting daily accounting operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Completes assigned tasks with attention to accuracy and adherence to established procedures and controls

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• 0-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required

• Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
• Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills
• Process improvement oriented
• Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process
