Alaskan Brewing Company, located in Juneau, Alaska, seeks an Accountant to handle broad accounting duties across the cycle. You will work closely with management, vendors, bankers, and regulators, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting with 3+ years of GL experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of accounting software. Domestic travel is unlikely; on-site work in Juneau is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; significant experience may substitute.
• 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience required.
• Strong Excel skills and accounting software experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledger journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with cash forecasting.
• Reconcile and review subsidiary ledgers to general ledger.
• Record and reconcile debt-related schedules.
• Prepare regulatory reports (sales tax, excise tax, operations reports).
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare periodic accounting reports and ad hoc analyses.
