We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and contribute to our continued success. This role is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, including the preparation of financial reports, maintenance of accurate financial records, and implementation of robust controls and budgeting systems. The goal is to minimize risk, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, applying manual payments, generating aging reports, and reconciling customer accounts.
  • Record routine journal entries and bank transactions accurately and timely.
  • Process accounts payable bills and credit card transactions as needed.
  • Execute month-end closing activities and perform account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations regularly.
  • Provide support to team members and collaborate across departments as required.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role would share and understand the high growth objectives of Mass Markets. Demonstrated ability in an accountant role is a must. The right candidate will exhibit good business judgment and acumen and be both confident and flexible in their views. This position will require the ability to work with multiple business units to acquire operational knowledge and execute departmental initiatives. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills are a must.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 1-2 years of accrual basis accounting working experiences including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects
  • Detail-oriented, excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, organized, able to prioritize and work independently
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
