THE JOB:

At MGM Resorts International, our finance professionals are essential to maintaining accuracy, integrity, and transparency across our world-class operations. We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial functions specifically tied to our casino and gaming operations. In this role, you'll play a key part in our monthly close process, reconciliations, and reporting efforts — all while ensuring compliance with internal policies and gaming regulations.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Record transactional activity in the general ledger accurately and timely

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with financial statements

• Create and post journal entries throughout the month related to casino operations

• Perform financial reporting for both internal leadership and external regulatory bodies

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and gaming-specific regulations (e.g., SOX, AML laws, MICs)

• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure casino-related accounts are balanced and posting correctly

• Participate in system or process implementations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain a service-oriented mindset while partnering across business units

• Meet with onsite stakeholders at our various Las Vegas properties as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

• 1+ year of relevant accounting or audit experience

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close

• Familiarity with large financial systems; Oracle ARCS or casino systems a plus

• Comfortable working in a high-volume, regulated environment with multiple stakeholders
