Job summary

Daifuku Airport America Corporation, a subsidiary of Daifuku North America, is seeking an Accountant/Analyst to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and performs month-end close, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and at least three years of accounting experience, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with accounting software such as SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in accounting or related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge/Experience with accounting software; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete month-end closing and reconciliation.
• Provide monthly financial statements for the group company.
• Maintain ledgers by posting transactions.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
• Complete daily filing and provide general clerical support.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.

Accountant / Analyst

Position Summary/Primary Purpose

Provide general support of a financial statement. This position reports to the Accounting manager. In this role, responsibilities will include the accuracy and timely preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reporting.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Prepare and complete month-end closing and reconciliation
• Provide monthly financial statement for group company
• Maintain account ledgers by posting account transactions
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation
• Complete daily filing
• Provide general clerical support
• Maintain confidential information

Basic Broad Knowledge

• Computer Programs— Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• English Language— Knowledge of structure and content of English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Basic Skills & Abilities

• Strong analytical and quantitative competencies
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems
• Possess intellectual agility; readily accepts challenges of unfamiliar task.
• Speaks and writes clearly and effectively even when relating complex information. Expresses ideas in a concise and organized manner.

• Typing speed/ 40WPM. Word Per Minute (WPM) is measured by calculating how many words (5 characters/keystrokes = 1 word) you can type in 1 minute.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• +3 years experience accounting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Office)
• Knowledge/Experience with Accounting Software, preferred
• SAP knowledge and experience preferred.

Demonstrated Physical Abilities

Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
