Serve Robotics is seeking an experienced Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, close monthly and quarterly books, and prepare reports. The role partners with teams across the company to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.

You will oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and audits, helping tighten internal controls and drive efficiency. A Bachelor's in Accounting and 5+ years in full accounting are required, with proficiency in Xero or NetSuite and advanced Excel.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Accountant supports the company's accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, performing assigned close activities, and preparing financial reports. The role executes and monitors key accounting processes, partners with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, supports audits, and helps maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, and company policies.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, & SKILLS

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical accounting experience.
• 5+ years of full accounting experience
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or NetSuite and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or GAAP, and a strong understanding of Sarbanes Oxley compliance processes, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and partner effectively across teams.
• High degree of accuracy and analytical ability, including the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve accounting discrepancies and process inefficiencies.

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• Progress toward CPA certification.
• Experience with a publicly traded company or public accounting firm.
• Experience in a startup or other fast paced environment.
• Experience with robotics, manufacturing, or technology companies, including exposure to inventory management or cost accounting processes.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and operate effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
