Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, a leader in infrared sensing and R&D, seeks an experienced Accountant to join Teledyne Scientific & Imaging in Thousand Oaks, CA. You will support revenue recognition, internal controls, and management reporting under GAAP, working with Operations and Finance for accuracy and compliance.

The role requires a BA in accounting or related field, 10+ years of corporate/manufacturing accounting experience, and onsite availability in Thousand Oaks. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and internal controls.
  • Familiarity with government contract compliance, FAR, and CAS regulations (preferred).
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, TM1, and OneStream (a plus).
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite full-time in Thousand Oaks, CA.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to facility access and work restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Support revenue recognition, internal controls, and management reporting in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies
  • Analyze inventory usage and purchasing variances; partner with Operations to identify root causes
  • Reconcile inventory subledger to the general ledger and recommend COGS adjustments as needed
  • Prepare period cost reserves, excess & obsolete (E&O) analyses, and related journal entries
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and prepare quarterly financial variance explanations
  • Lead and participate in quarterly and annual audits, tax packs, surveys, and physical inventory counts
  • Contribute to special projects focused on process improvement, efficiency, and profitability

Salary Range:

$77,900.00-$103,800.000
