Your Responsibilities

As a Financial Reporting Accountant for JD Financial located in Johnston , IA , you will:

  • Support the preparation and review of monthly financial results, as well as quarterly and annual SEC filings ensuring complete, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
  • Assist with the review, maintenance, and communication of accounting policies, accounting bulletins, and related reporting guidance.
  • Support the assessment and implementation of new accounting and disclosure requirements, including researching accounting and reporting matters and preparing supporting documentation.
  • Support process improvements, internal control activities, and other initiatives that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of financial reporting.

  • 3 or more years of accounting or audit experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP with the ability to apply that knowledge independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills

  • Experience at a global public accounting firm and/or public company
  • Certified Public Accountant (active or inactive) license
